We are a community organization that honors the legacy of Dr. King and his teachings.
We conduct an annual Community Celebration and Prayer Breakfast every January.
These community events include the annual Art & Writing Contest and a Spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award.

HISTORY:
The Committee was created by local Manhattan minister Revered Jim Spencer and others to generate increased community awareness and broader education about Dr. King's legacy.
The committee is independently run by community volunteers of all backgrounds and gratefully operates under the auspices of UFM Community Learning Center.
